Linda Cerynik - Owner

Linda Cerynik has worked with children and families for over 30 years. She graduated from William Paterson University with a Bachelor of Arts in English Writing. Upon moving to Pennsylvania, she obtained her Teaching Certificate from the Pennsylvania Department of Education and is certified to teach grades K-12. She and her husband, Doug, homeschooled their children for 15 years. In the context of the homeschool community, she taught pre-school, various elementary-level classes, and writing classes for all ages. Linda was a board member of Generations Home Scholars, a preK-12 grade co-op, for four years. She also served hundreds of families by performing state required year-end evaluations and empowering them to create and sustain successful homeschools. She has extensive experience in various curricula, methods, and educational approaches. Linda currently teaches 6th and 9th grade English Language Arts at the University Scholars Program of PALCS (Pennsylvania Leadership Charter School.)

Outside of education, Linda has served in variety of capacities in communities of faith: children’s ministry volunteer, women’s ministry coordinator, small group host / facilitator, prayer team leader, and, most recently, a team partner for Radiant, a women’s worship ministry.

Underlying Linda’s roles in parenting, education, and faith communities is her strong motivation for the flourishing of others. To that end, she obtained her Certificate in Biblical Counseling in 2015 from the Christian Counseling and Education Foundation. She is also trained in spiritual direction with Sustainable Faith.

While the original mission of Roots to Wings is currently in the process of changing, the heart of Roots to Wings remains the same: helping others be rooted and grounded in God’s love in order to live in His freedom and purpose.
